 LAUREN LONDON PREGNANT BY LIL WAYNE - RUMORS PART 2

Sources say actress Lauren London is in fact five months pregnant with rapper Lil Wayne’s baby. (Let’s all gasp in disbelief together.) Initially, I was hesitant to post the pregnancy rumor considering London has supposedly been pregnant by Lil Wayne (born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) numerous times in the past. Lauren has even refuted the rumors herself, however having recently turned down several movie projects somewhat confirms a baby is on the way. A source says:
Lauren and Wayne weren’t happy about the pregnancy initially, but they “have accepted it and chosen to raise the baby together.” Everyone’s all smiles now and very excited about the new baby. Lauren says that she’s “not worried about the pregnancy affecting her career,” and doesn’t really care about what people think. She’s stayed very positive throughout this entire time. Lauren and Lil Wayne have decided not to live together or continue with their five year “on again, off again” relationship at this time.”
Talk about an odd couple! Although, as previously reported, Lauren admits she likes her men a little rough around the edges. “For some odd reason I like a man in sweatsuits. Obviously you want your man to look good in a suit but I like when men look comfortable and the swagger just stands out of that,” London told Complex magazine (May 09). This will be Lauren’s first child and Lil Wayne’s third.

A baby New-New is on the way. TheYBF.com has learned that actress Lauren London is indeed 5 months pregnant! This time it’s not just another empty rumor. And that’s the reason we haven’t seen her out and about in the last 3 months. She actually made one appearance since February and it was at the Next Day Air premiere last week. But interestingly, all her pictures were only taken from the bust and up.
Back in February, YBF caught up with Lauren and asked her about the pregnancy rumors that were swirling back then–and of course she denied it. But our source–who’s actually a Hollywood celebrity themselves–slipped up in a recent convo with YBF and spilled the beans. As for the father of Lauren’s baby–we’re told she confirmed it’s Lil Wayne! Yes, we’re serious. Remember when we posted exclusive pics of the ex-couple back in Weezy’s hometown of New Orleans?
We got further confirmation of Lauren’s pregnancy from a celeb’s manager. Apparently said manager received a movie role for his client after it was first offered to Lauren. When the manager asked why Lauren wouldn’t take the role, the manager was made aware of Lauren’s pregnancy status. We’re told Lauren’s taking time off from her career as her current conditions aren’t “favorable” right now.

NEXT DAY AIR FILM REVIEW

Next Day Air is a throwback which brings to mind the mediocre Blaxploitation Era flicks from the 1970s. But where most of those low-budget productions were merely poorly-scripted, sloppily-edited, take-the-money-and-run rip-offs, this homage to that best-forgotten genre is actually a well executed, comic crime caper.
The movie marks the directorial debut of Benny Boom, the veteran purveyor of gangsta’ rap famous for making music videos for everyone from Snoop Dogg to 50 Cent to Nas to Nelly to Busta Rhymes. Here, he makes a remarkably smooth transition to the big screen with the help of a talented ensemble capable of breathing life into his host of colorful characters. The story opens in Philadelphia where we meet a couple of drivers for an overnight delivery service, “Employee of the Month” Eric (Mos Def) and his hapless counterpart, Leo (Donald Faison). The former doesn’t deserve the accolade since he wastes too much company time getting high and chasing a pretty colleague (Lauren London) around the office. The latter, meanwhile, is an equally-lazy loser who’s on the verge of getting fired by his own mother (Debbie Allen), the manager of Next Day Air. Lollygagging Leo is known to smoke weed behind the wheel and to slow his truck to a crawl to flirt with the ladies. This helps explains how, one fateful day, he accidentally delivers a box from Mexico he has no idea is filled with 10 kilos of cocaine to the wrong apartment. He leaves the package in the hands of Brody (Mike Epps) and Guch (Wood Harris), small-time crooks who think they’ve died and gone to heaven when they open it up. Figuring the solid bricks have a street value in the six-figures, they start making plans to retire by selling it in one fell swoop to a local dealer (Omari Hardwick) with a very menacing henchman (Darius McCrary).
What Brody and Guch don’t know, however, is that the coke was meant for Jesus (Cisco Reyes), the henpecked Latino who lives just down the hall with his loudmouthed girlfriend Chita (Yasmin Deliz). The unassuming neighbor happens to be a gangsta’ with an international cartel run by Bodega (Emilio Rivera), a ruthless mobster already on his way to America with guns and a goon (Lobo Sebastian) and determined to retrieve his contraband come hell or high water. Taking no prisoners, Bodega retraces the path of his errant parcel, embroiling all of the above in a high body-count affair that’s every bit as funny as it is bloody. Brace yourself for a raunchy brand of humor and for gratuitous gore that can get fairly gruesome.

When a misguided delivery driver inadvertently delivers a package containing concealed bricks of cocaine to the wrong address, it sets in motion a desperate search and battle for the coke between the furious dealer that sent it, the fearful intended recipients that missed it, and the conniving accidental recipients that plan to flip it. Time is running out and everyone’s trying to get their hands on the package that’s been sent…Next Day Air!

Lately we haven’t got many updates about our Lauren, but when we get any, they are really stunning, just like this one. I have added photos from Complex magazine, this year. In the interview with Complex, Lauren talks about being half Jewish among other things:
Complex : We hear your idol is Barbra Streisand. Can’t say we saw that coming.
Lauren London: You think because I’m some little black girl, I can’t love Barbara? [Laughs.] I’m the little half-black, half-Jewish girl who was odd and awkward. I try to be myself. Barbra didn’t look like Vivian Leigh or Lucille Ball: She was Barbra Streisand. She made her own mark.
Complex : But you’re probably the only Streisand fan to appear on a Clipse mixtape.
Lauren London: I’ve been knowing Pharrell and them since I was really, really young. They’re like family to me. Pusha is definitely my brother.
Complex : It seems you’ve been connected to a number of people in the rap world.
Lauren London: Most of those are rumors! I don’t have a lot of friends; most of the friends I have, I’ve had since high school.
Complex : Fair enough.
Lauren London: [Laughs.] So…what were you going to say?
Complex : I was just going to ask about the kind of guys you’re attracted to. Are you attracted to rappers? [Laughs.]
Lauren London: [Laughs.] No.
Complex : OK, then how do you like your man to dress?
Lauren London: For some odd reason, I like a man in sweatsuits. Obviously, you want your man to look good in a suit, but I like when men look comfortable and the swagger just stands out of that.
Complex : And what should this man know before approaching you?
Lauren London: Don’t be thirsty. Be comfortable in your own skin. Don’t mention anything about Hollywood and you’ll be OK. I don’t want to hear about your jet or your car. Be emotionally stable. I’m interested in a guy who’s a lover of God, a lover of music, a lover of poetry, a lover of women— “Lover of women”—that’s important. That’s very important!
